NYSERDA is pleased to announce the second National Conference on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Workforce Education  to take place March 17 - 20, 2008, at Hudson Valley Community College outside of Albany, New York.

This conference builds on the first Workforce Education Conference which was held in November 2006.  Conference sessions will address best practices and teaching models for a wide variety of renewable energy and energy efficiency job sectors, and will focus on instructional strategies, curricula development and related practitioner training and market trends.  There will be a series of technical workshops before the conference starts and an exhibit during the conference.

Proposals for presentations and workshops are currently being sought.  Submitting a short proposal is easy.  You can follow the
    instructions  or go to www.hvcc.edu/energyconference.

Please follow the format and include the information requested.  For presentations, there is a list of topic areas to address.

The deadline for presentation and workshop proposals is September 7, 2007.

Workshops are to be held on Monday, March 17, 2008 and Tuesday, March 18.  On Wednesday and Thursday, March 19 and 20, we expect to schedule 12 conference sessions with four or five speakers in each one.  There will also be two or three plenary and general sessions.  The exact number of speakers, sessions and workshops will be determined once proposals have been received and reviewed.

We anticipate the conference Registration Brochure will be available in November 2007.

Once again, we are keeping the registration fee low.  Registration will open in November.
