AMD GETS APPROVAL FROM TOWN OF MALTA

The Luther Forest Technology Campus (LFTC) keeps moving along.  Tonight, the Town of Malta approved a modification to the planned development district which was requested by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).  Two years ago, LFTC and the Towns of Malta and Stillwater agreed on the concept for zoning a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Luther Forest.  Today, AMD has in place the zoning necessary to build Fab 4X.  While other applications and permits still need to be filed and acquired, the PDD modification was a significant hurdle facing Luther Forest and the Towns.

Luther Forest President, Mike Relyea, said, "The Towns of Malta and Stillwater along with AMD, LFTC and many consultants have worked thousands of hours to get us to this point.  I want to thank all those involved but also remind them that this is another step in our long process of making Luther Forest the newest and most exciting technology campus in the world."
 
Dennis Brobston, President of Saratoga Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), added that "by having this zoning in place, it makes Saratoga County an even more attractive place for this industry to do business."  Dennis and the SEDC team will be heavily involved in welcoming the new industry and its suppliers to Saratoga County.
