TECH VALLEY TEACHER EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Tech Valley Teacher Externship Program provides middle- and high-school teachers with applicable, hands-on work experience in high-tech environments throughout Tech Valley. 

The program, which runs from four to eight weeks between July 1 and August 31, is designed to expose teachers to careers in the math, science, and technology fields and educate them about the skills that are needed for the future Tech Valley workforce.

The Tech Valley Teacher Externship Program provides teachers with the opportunity to work side-by-side with leaders in cutting-edge technology companies from throughout the region as well as exposure to advancement in their fields of study, tangible examples to bring back to their classrooms, valuable insights in the demands and challenges of the modern workplace, and an understanding of the skills necessary for our present and future tech innovators.

Companies also benefit in a variety of ways. For some it is a way to give back to the education community, and for others it is a way to complete those vital, back-burner projects with front-burner people. Companies, both large and established or small start-ups, have experienced high levels of benefits.
